Girl Scout Troop 100 from Addison, MI, and Girl Scout Troop 226 from Adrian, MI pose for a picture after an exciting night. These girls are pen pals and get together a couple times a year.
WELCOME TO THE OVERNIGHT ENCAMPMENT PROGRAM
Scout, church and other youth oriented organizations may book an overnight stay
at the Great Lakes Naval Memorial and Museum aboard the historic World War II
submarine USS SILVERSIDES (SS-236) or the 1927 Coast Guard Cutter USCGC McLANE
(W-146). This is also a unique way to celebrate a birthday with friends and
family. Become an official "Crew Member" for a night and learn the exciting
history of these famous vessels as they come "alive" for you and your group.
Walk the decks, visit the engine rooms, take command on the bridge; an overnight
aboard either SILVERSIDES or McLANE is a truly unforgettable experience.
We are currently booking Overnights for 2007 & 2008 and will begin booking for 2009 in January.
See basic program information
for minimum passenger requirements on overnight stays.
