Planning for Food
For your chow during your overnight stay you should plan to have two
meals: Dinner and Breakfast. There are fast food establishments with a
ten-minute drive. Burger King and certain pizza establishments will
deliver meals with prior notice. Call the museum for details and current
specials. There is no refrigeration on board, so coolers are recommended
for items that need to stay cool.
Also, it is recommended to bring plates, napkins, silverware, and cups.
Cookouts are permitted. There are two fire pits on site but wood is not
included. Please bring a grill or camp stove. Plan for a late night
snack. Apples, bananas, donuts, cheese and crackers, pretzels, and
cookies are some suggestions. Snacks are also for sale in the gift shop.
Eating is allowed aboard the boats but it is important that groups clean
up their mess when they are done.
